Press release
Hermès International
Paris, 19 May 2011 - ADAM, the minority shareholders' association chaired by Mrs Colette Neuville and the owner of one share of Hermès International, has filed a complaint as an emergency proceeding against that company and the members of the Hermès family group, seeking to disqualify these shareholders from exercising most of their voting rights at the Annual General Meeting of Hermès International to be held on 30 May 2011.
The complaint filed by ADAM would cause control over the Hermès International General Meeting to be transferred to LVMH, a minority shareholder that acquired its interest in the Company under conditions that are currently under investigation by the AMF.
Hermès International deems this complaint to be groundless and views this attempt to destabilise its General Meeting as a new attack, coming just a few days after the Company reported the best results in the sector.
The Hermès family group assures all Hermès shareholders and employees that it controls the Company and that it is determined to retain its control over the long term.
